Three weeks ago I got it in my head that I wanted to be able to do a full king pigeon. When I first tried, my head was nowhere near my foot. I practiced every night for three weeks with hip opening poses, inversions, and just regular stretches. This afternoon, I was able to get into a full king pigeon with ease…which proves that yoga, with daily practice, really does improve your flexibility and strength no matter what age you are (I am 28 by the way).
Wherever you are, wherever you go… Practice patience, practice understanding, practice acceptance and most of all practice unconditional love for yourself and everyone you meet along your path. Namaste!
